I've recently been noticing issues when playing Apex Legends, namely lag and freezes. I tried updating my drivers to the recommended 20.1.3 version, but it fails when installing. I get a message saying previous drivers have not been uninstalled properly, so I tried uninstalling these manually. I have uninstalled the device and drivers from the device manager, to no avail.
Should I delete the 'AMD' folder in my C directory? The folder is 18.5(!!!) GB and contains a bunch of 'minimalsetup' files of previous driver version as well as some installers.
Could I delete this folder and then download the correct drivers from the website to resolve my issue?
You can delete everything in the C:/AMD file.
You need to supply basic information:
Desktop
AMD RX480 8GB
Windows 10
Honestly not sure which driver is and isn't installed anymore
i5 4430
This is as much as I can come up with right now
