Radeon VII freeze in BFV, Heaven and Valley Benchmarks work for hours fine. Adreanlin 20.1.3, Card is Stock and watercooled (temps are fine)

The Problem was also with the Stock-Cooler and older Dirver 20. versions

These are known issues with Radeon VII can most other cards. AMD is working on the problems but many problems can be resolved by reset of windows

I do not agree on "AMD working" or acknowledging any issues on radeon vii. Why? Because the issues has even been passed into pro drivers, and AMD does not list any known issues on radeon vii anymore.

Reinstall of Windows is just the worst advice one could ever give to anyone - especially since its a driver issue.

@OP try Disabling HBCC, Anti-Lag, Enhanced Sync.

I use the defaults and my  RX 480 seems to be stable

Its because of the missing 'Power Efficiency' on the VII, this results in the voltage fluctuating and crashing the GPU.

Contact AMD directly and request the feature be put back, otherwise the GPU is a dud, end of story.
