ok, so this problem is so random i don't know what to do anymore. i shut down my pc last night, everything was fine and came back today to boot it up. i was there on the desktop and tried to open the radeon software to look at my settings, but it just doesnt open and instantly crashes. event-viewer showed some errors, excuse the german i hope it's still helpful:

i have reverted to 19.12.1 as a temporary solution.

Seems like reverting was likely the best course of action. 

You might try the newer driver using the Factory Reset option when installing and see if by chance that helps.

If not make sure to report the issue to AMD:
