Idle or while ingame Radeon Software uses 14-17% cpu.

Win10

i7 7700k

Not sure when it started but i've noticed it today,

i was using Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.11.2, unistalled with DDU tried Adrenalin 2020 Edition 21.1.1 problem still exists.

Any idea why is this happening?

Ok, I figured this out.

Took months and its really dumb but here goes.

Get:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/procmon

Run it, look at what the AMD software is constantly monitoring, for me it was some empty game folders, apparently its constantly checking empty folders, once I deleted those folders this stopped. It's looking for .exe files that dont exist for the scan games section in the software...

For me it was some Epic games that I didn't fully install.

Hello, I have the same problem, except I am downloading new game with Ubisoft Connect. In Process Monitor, Radeon Software keeps doing QueryOpen on that game folder. CPU usage goes to 20%. Tried removing the game from RadeonSoftware, it still does it. Any ideas?

It will do so until its fully installed or the folder is deleted, no way I have found to stop it.
