"Amd System" update issue on HP Pavilion notebook

Hi, I updated my laptop via Windows Update on 10th of July. The only update was "AMD - System 2.89.0.57". After the update, my computer's shut down and reboot times reached up to 1-2 min. There is no performance issue when I'm using it, but it takes too long to turn off and restart. It has nvme m.2 ssd and there is something wrong with this update. When I click turn off, the screen goes black immediately as usual, but laptop keeps working for about 1-2 min. AMD System seems as driver update and can not be removed.

My laptop model is HP Pavilion Gaming 15-Ec0005nt, and there are more users in HP forums, facing this problem. We need an update or solution. Please help us.

same update (AMD - System 2.89.0.57), happened to me today. shut down takes about 1-2 mins. Not cool!

NB. a few days ago my system updated to the 2020-07 Windows update (version 2004) HOWEVER, I did not have shut down issues following this. This issue happened today (four days later)

Apparently, AMD knows about this already.

Under Known Issues:

"AMD is investigating isolated reports of intermittent system hangs while exiting system sleep on some AMD Ryzen™ 3000 Series Mobile Processors with Radeon™ Graphics. "

https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-20-7-2

Anyway, We want a fix please !!!!

notes:

all things are updated and clean.

already troubleshooted power settings via windows trouble shooter.

"turn on fast-start up" is disabled (which tends to fix these slow shut down issues), did not work in this case

OKAY, try this possible fix.... the problem seems to be gone now for me (no more hang up following shut down tests)

I re-installed ("repair" as AMD put it) the Adrenalin Software (200714) 20.7.2.

Find the Setup application file on your pc and open it up - and reinstall/repair the software.

(for me it was This Pc >>> C>>>AMD>>>Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-2020-20.7.2-MinimalSetup-200714_web >>> Setup.exe)

(In case you don't have it:

https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/radeon-software )

Hope it works for you
