Hello!

So for some reason everytime I attempt to install 16.12.1, it causes problems when I restart after installing it. For about a minute everything seems then, then all of a sudden I might get some visual glitches, or the screen flashes before just going black causing my PC just to crash. No BSOD, just sticks to the black screen, I assume my computer is crashing as the RBG lights on my Keyboard just completely stop, instead of constantly flashing.

The first time I tried to update I tried to update from 16.11.3 through AMD, thats when I first noticed the problem. I then tried a clean install after using DDU, still have the same problem. I downloaded 16.11.5, the previous version, and my computer works fine. I then tried updating from that version, problem still happened, so I just stuck with 16.11.5 for now since its stable for me.

Can anybody help me shred some light on this issue for me please? I'm not sure whats going on.

I have the 380 Nitro 4Gb, with same problems, random lockups and artifacts galore.  Plus when hooking up my 2nd monitor, it was nothing but problems.  Both screens flicker, and again cause the system to lock up.  I always do a clean install with latest DDU.  Nothing I tried, other than installing previous drivers solved my problems.

I've got the same problem.  Install new driver, screen flashes and then goes black until I use the AMD cleanup utility to run no drivers except from Microsoft Basic Visual Driver.  It had problems installing on my laptop as well, bt I got that fixed by running the cleanup utility and then re-installing.  THis, however, did not work on my PC

...I'm also seeing a trend that we all have Sapphire R9 3xx cards...

Having the same issues here. No BSOD, but will get screen flickers and artifacts when loading up any game.

Everybody needs to report this issue to AMD > AMD Issue Reporting Form

The issue I had was the return of the Black Screen -> Static -> Green Screen cycle.  My best suggestion is get into safe mode, remove 16.12, reinstall 16.9 then get the hotfix to 16.11 drivers.  It seems they broke everything they fixed with the 16.11 that they originally broke in 16.9...sad really as this seems to be a common thing with every fresh set of drivers launched.

Also that doesn't bode well for the X370 and Zen line if they can't get the drivers to work properly.

Maybe AMD can hire someone from Nvidia to make a working driver?

I have the same problem with this new update, but in my case i have this problem (see pictures) , and when I try install the old driver (16.11.5) my screen is black. Any solution?  I tried everything ... and sorry for my english.
