problem with Radeon HD 7700

This graphics card was working great until i left my pc off for a week now whenever I try to game the gpu clock spikes out to 100% and my game crashes for something like 2 minutes then it will come back for a few minutes only to crash again

im also using

     AMD FX-6200 6 core processor

     Msi 970 gaming motherboard

     800 watt power supply

     8 gb ram

     lots of memory

Any help is appreciated I cant even play simple games like Factorio without a crash now please help

Define "crash"

Black screen with sound

Black screen with looping sound

Black screen with no sound

Colored screen

Colored striped screen

Frozen screen but with mouse able to be moved

Frozen screen with mouse not able to be moved

Possible a windows "update" of the graphics driver is causing this. There is always a restore point created by Micro$oft before any updates. Go back to that point in system restore.

I just tried restoring and it hasn't helped unfortunately

Run a command prompt as Administrator  >  sfc /scannow  to check system files ?

It says that windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix them. It then gave me a link to logs/cbs/cbs which I found and I have no idea what anything it says means should I look for something or call Microsoft tomorrow?

Because you have corrupted system files which cannot be repaired.
