Drivers & Software

On my new windows 10 installation; when I try to install the drivers for my RX 580 (via Adrenalin 18.8.2), screen freezes at detect hardware phase and computer powers down. Any thoughts on how I can install my driver?

Of note, I checked Device Manager; it has the GPU listed there as Radeon RX 580 Series, and under driver Data shows a Driver Date of 4/24/2017, Driver Version of 22.19.162.4, and Digital Signer of Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher.

On the off chance this is in fact the driver I need, that's great... but even better would be some way of having Adrenalin run its process to completion without the crash.  Any thoughts on what to do here?

Yes....disconnect from the internet while uninstalling/installing the AMD drivers. Clean install using DDU

Empty the C:/AMD folder of all previous drivers

Follow the steps necessary to prevent/delay Microsoft from automatically changing/installing graphics drivers.

The links are all here > Clean Install AMD Graphics Drivers

DDU has new instructions..make sure you have the latest version
