Hi,

I use VLC to play media content, and when I try to play a 4K film encoded in H.265 it doesn't show anything and just the noise of the film.

I have the latest drivers (today) :

I tried with previous versions too and it doesn't work. I tried other players like the one that comes with Windows and happens the same.

I tried with wifislax to watch the film and it shows the image but, very slowly. Like in slow motion.

I tried disable hardware acceleration, a lot of settings in VLC, but nothing worked (augmenting the caché, ffmpeg without filtering, etc.).

I just saw a review in which H265 was supported the APU A8 7600.

Try Sharks codecs....ADVANCED Codecs for Windows 10, Windows 8.1 and Windows 7

I haven't found anything it won't play...correctly.

I give up. I can't see 4k films with my lovely A8 7600.

With VLC the same.

With Windows Media, video gets in slow motion.

You really expected to see Properly 4k content with A8 7600?

Are you using the latest driver for the APU? >  APU

This is a desktop computer..right? With no discrete graphics? Only the integrated graphics?

Yes. No descrete graphics.

I will try later to unninstall and reinstall the drivers another in another moment.

I think you are wasting your time, as far as I can tell you GPU does not support HEVC/H265 decoding which means your CPU has to do it and that is heavy going for even for high end kit. Try googling for more info.

Ok. So I will forget to decode h 265 because the hardware don't support it, it seems. And the APU A8 9700 as a CPU is too slow to handle 4K (I tried 1080 and it goes ok).

It is a pitty because all 4K videos seem to be encoded with H265
