This was a known and fixed issue some time ago.

Supply the required system info and someone may be able to offer suggestions.

system specs?

Also , it looks like the control panel keeps crashing? if so, just downloaded to a older driver that doesn't have that issue.

Make sure your Windows install is up to date

Make sure you have appropriate chipset drivers installed for your system from either Intel.com or AMD.com

Run DDU to remove all past present AMD/Nvidia drivers .. reboot .. and THEN install latest drivers for your GPU

Good practice to keep your motherboard's BIOS up to date as well

IF you don't actually want to fix  your issue and just wanted to rant .. then disregard any/all posts here

Hi ThreeDee, I did all of the above and still have not only multiple iterations of the icon in taskbar, but Radeon sw refuses to launch. Any suggestions? Thx in advance!

Open up a command prompt as admin and type:

sfc /scannow

..windows will look for and attempt to fix any errors

You can run AMD's Cleanup utility and when it reboots then install latest GPU drivers from AMD.com website

you can also check C:\AMD folder and delete contents in there to free up hard drive space
