i had this problem a while back. Im running windows 11 and have been using Adrenalin 22.5.1 Recommended (WHQL). Everytime i try updating drivers with all optional updates, i get my mouse freezing and studdering. There is a 2-3 second freeze then cursor picks up again. This is on the desktop with no apps open.
After a few minutes, my screen goes black then i get the AMD Bug Report Tool. My mouse then suddenly works with no problems.
After a reboot, same thing happens.
I have the same problem as you, with the new 22.10.1 drivers going back to 22.5.1 was my solution. i have an rx 6800xt the amd drivers are a total mess
i went to the older drivers from amd on this link https://www.amd.com/en/support/previous-drivers/graphics/amd-radeon-6000-series/amd-radeon-6900-seri...
my issue i think is anything from 22.5.1 thats optional does the same thing. i did however try the drivers with (WHQL) at the end of it. fioxed the issue.
i also went back to windows 10 until i can run newer drivers with windows 11.
