Hi,

I recently picked up again this old laptop and installed all over again the windows 10 Home 64 bits,deleting everything on the disk, leaving only the OS. I downloaded the auto detect from the AMD site to install the drivers and when the installation bar ends the screen goes black and when it comes on again in just 3 seconds the mouse and the laptop start to lag a lot. I dont know what to do .

The laptop is old and it is a Toshiba SATELLITE M50D-A-10L with a AMD Quad-Core A6-5200 and a AMD Radeon™ HD 8400.

You didn't say what driver you are using, so I assume you are trying to use the 20.4.1. There are users who are having issues with that version, I suggest you use the previous version 19,12,1...very stable and none of the newer versions affect your card.

Make sure Windows is up to date, clean install the AMD driver using DDU in safe mode.

I tried the suggested 19 version, but it still does the same. After it loads the OS, it runs smoothly in intervals of a few seconds followed by a total freeze for a moment.
