I'm encountering rather bad stutter, where the game freezes for a few seconds before continuing. Sometimes it happens once, sometimes it happens in bursts.
Also, after a while of playing, this has started appearing:
I assumed it'd go away overnight perhaps, but after just starting my PC and GTA V, it's persisting.
I have been experiencing similar behaviour on GTA V after the latest game patch update. I find alt tabbing out of the game once or twice resolves it for me.
I'd try rolling back to Catalyst 15.11.1 Beta or even Catalyst 15.7.1. WHQL to see if that resolves the issue.
Is it happening on SP or MP?
I had the same problem after the social club update, but wen the DLC released it fixed it.
Try Verifying the integrity of game cache, you never know.
For non steam users.
This started happening to tons of players. users of Both Nvidia and AMD. (Check Steam Forums) it seems the latest GTA5 update broke something. you're not alone and i doubt it was a driver issue.
i fixed the hitching / stuttering issue.
\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V
and delete settings.xml
restart GTA5 (you might have to try launching it twice since it's going to generate a new settings file.)
This completely fixed my stuttering issues after the new update.
Let us know if this fixed your stuttering issues as well.
