GPU scaling not working (image in top left of screen)

Hello there

i used a RX 580 and switched to a RX 5700 XT now - since i switched, GPU scaling is not working as expected (reinstalled the driver, even reinstalled a clean Windows with just drivers and steam) in almost every game instead of doing anything, the image is just placed in the top left corner of the screen with the set resolution (see attached Image)

Example is PUBG (and yes, i play this game in the native resolution - it is just an example, it happens in almost every other game i tried so far)

2 exceptions i found so far:
- Minon Masters (works as expected, when i set it to "preserve aspect ratio" ist does exaclty this

- DEFCON (Centers the screen in the selected resoltion no matter what setting i choose and behaves like "center")

i use a 3440x1440 monitor, the OSD of the monitor identifies the display port signal input as native 3440x1440 signal

If i Change the resoltion in Windows directly it works like expected (all 3 Options) - with the exception thast GPU Scaling on and off has no effect, scales it anyways:

also if i use VSR (or not) i'm not able to select lots of resolutions that _should_ be available - for example i can't select 2560x1080 and try out the benefits of Radeon Image Sharpening.

If i plug in the RX 580 in the system (or the test System with clean Windows) even without reinstalling the Drivers everything works as expected again

having the same problems on a 5700.

please report it via the radeon drivers "report issues online" under the preferences tab, so we get as much as possible attention to this problem several people seem to be having

did not know there is this report issue feature - i did it, thx

Lots of people having this problem right now, going to have to wait for driver fix unfortunately.

In the meantime I've found that it works properly only if you change refresh rate at the same time you change resolution.

That actually works! Thanks for the work-around

Nice ! I would say that you could change your rx 5700 xt with my rx 580 and Then you will have 2 rx 580 working perfectly ! and Me will be very sad with the 5700 ...

What driver version are you running?

I'm used to the 19.9.X nomenclature, so I can't translate your driver version.

Is that 19.9.1 you are running?

I was also having the same issue with driver 19.9.2. Going back to driver version 19.9.1 seems to have fixed my issue.

was also getting skipped frames in OBS, all good again with 19.9.1

Reported issue using the "Report Issue Online" feature in the AMD software
