Bonjour,

mise à jour aujourd'hui je reçois un message d'erreur 1604 me disant qu'il est impossible de mettre à jour car des ancienne installations n'ont pas pu être désinstallées

Try using either DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) or AMD Cleanup Utility to delete all traces of the old AMD driver in your computer plus check and make sure to delete C:\AMD folder which still contains your old AMD driver data that could corrupt your new AMD Driver installation.

Be sure your internet stays disconnected until you have the new AMD Driver installed and then delete C:\AMD folder in the Root directory.

I used the DDU and my pc no longer starts when safe mode is a disaster.

what should i do to put my pc back in order? Thanks for your help.

Please post your computer information.

If you have Windows 10 installed, if you restart your computer 3 times in a row it should automatically go to Windows Troubleshooting menu. From there you can use System Restore to restore your computer or click on Windows Startup Repair.

Otherwise you can use Windows Installation disc or USB to get to the Troubleshooting Menu or reinstall Windows. Need to make sure in BIOS/UEFI it is set to first boot from your DVD or USB.

I have rarely needed to use translate, I can usually handle most foreign languages fairly well.

Étant donné que DDU ne résout pas le problème, la solution plus radicale de réinitialisation de Windows résoudra 99% des problèmes. Vous pouvez conserver des fichiers personnels pour le processus de réinitialisation.

merci mais le problème a été résolu hier avec l'aide du forum Microsoft

et en français ce qui est beaucoup plus facile pour moi. quoiqu'il en
