Hi,

I need urgent support as all the games I play always crash while playing and display an error dialogue stating that the display driver timed-out.

I've opened the event viewer to see the logs and below are the logs :

**Noting that I've searched a lot to find a solution for this irritating issue and I've done all the possible suggestions I found like [tried a DDU, Installed fresh windows copy] but unfortunately didn't help me.

My PC Specs:

- MotherBoard: Gigabyte B550 GAMING X

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 6-Core Processor.

- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT

- RAM: Team T-Force Dark A 16GB

-PSU: 650W

First I’d try factory reset in the Radeon software.. Under settings, system, factory reset.

if that doesn’t work try following the AMD guide and completely remove & then reinstall the GPU Driver & Software.

Could also check in Event Viewer just incase there might be more info there.. Wouldn’t think NTDLL.DLL would be causing the issue... But could try a WIN repair install to be sure.

Did you upgrade / change video cards? Sometimes completely removing the Radeon software & installing again may help. https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-601

First, thank you for replying..

Second, the first thing I did is DDU and clean removal of the AMD driver then installed the latest driver again but it didn't solve the issue so I re-installed a new copy of Windows again but unfortunately didn't solve it either.

Have you been using this card for a bit & now it errors? Or has it had this issue since you've installed the GPU..?

Actually, this is a new PC I've just bought a month ago and since then I have this issue with all the games (Mostly with the AC games).

Games that I've played so far:

- Assassin's Creed Unity

- Assassin's Creed Syndicate

- Call of Duty - Black OPS3

- PES 2021

What brand / type of PSU are you using? Probably unlikely the problem, but it does say Min. 550W.. If temps are warm where you are that can drop the max Watt..

Double check MB, CPU, GPU power connectors, also check plugs at PSU end if modular. Try different power connector from PSU if possible..?

Is there any extra info in 'Event Viewer'?

Could try running HWINFO64 while GPU under load.  Superposition Benchmark or even the Render Test in GPU-Z in Full Screen? 

Remove any XMP MEM profiles, possibly even try reset BIOS defaults?

Could also try manually setting the PCIEX16 mode instead of  having Auto try setting to 3? Or possibly try 2nd PCIE16 slot if MB has one?

Could try running Windows Memory Diagnostic under Admin Tools.

Run a quick OS System file verification.. CMD PROMPT (RUN AS ADMIN), SFC /scannow           **Default log location is \Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

Don't know anyone or have an older system to test the GPU in..? Even if it only has PCIE 2 instead of 3 or 4, just to double check the GPU?

Try running each stick of RAM separately and see if it crashes on one of the sticks, but not the other..?

Error 0xc0000374 I beleive is quite commonly associated with RAM issues.

GigaByte did a TERRIBLE JOB with their RAM-OC in BIOS since A/B/X300er-Series

Can you explain more please about that?

What is the XMP and how do I disable it noting that I didn't do/change anything in the BIOS settings.

simply do a CMOS reset (rtfm that came with your MoBo how to do it)
this will reset everything and disable XMP etc

I've done that and disabled the XMP but unfortunately, the issue still exists.

do you have the new vbios with faster vram clocks or the stock one?
if you have the one with faster vram - flash the vbios with lower vram clocks

usually your error is often a ram problem - but could also be vram/gpu error

Sorry for the late reply.

I've updated the BIOS to the latest version [F11p was released on 2‎020/12/18].

And the snapshot below is the Tuning settings of the AMD driver (the default settings as I didn't change anything):

Forgive me as I don't understand much about this kind of stuff and I didn't change anything since I bought the PC which is, by the way, a new PC I bought it just a month ago.

**Note** I noticed that the crashes happen a lot while playing Assassin's Creed games rather than other games like Call of Duty and PES, don't know why is that.

Download MSI Afterburner. Take a look at the core clock values. What does it show?

Ok, the game crashed again, and here are all the errors I can provide for this crash :

First, before the game crashes, the screen hanged for about 5 seconds, and the on-screen numbers for the GPU were very high but couldn't take a snapshot.

No, I meant what does Afterburner tell you as far as your core clock values? The number circled.

What's the exact model of your video card? I have the MSI 5600 xt Gaming MX version. It's 1620Hz max boost. I too had Afterburner show my core clock at 1780. I had random crashes in couple of games. So I underclocked it back to 1620 and the crashing stopped.

I have AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT.

I've underclocked to 1620 MHZ as you said but it, unfortunately, crashed so I  reduced it to 1530 MHZ, and the game (Assassin's Creed - Syndicate) also crashed but took it longer (after about 40 mins playing).

I opened the Windows event viewer and extracted the error log of the crash as below :

I sent it to the insurance and there was an defect in the hardware so I return it back and got my money back.

with vbios i mean the BIOS OF YOUR GRAPHICS CARD!

there are 2 stock bios - one with slower vram speeds and one with higher
you have to install the one with lower clocks

When I say VBIOS, I'm referring to the BIOS of your graphics card!

There are two stock BIOS options available: one with slower VRAM speeds and one with higher speeds. You need to install the one with lower clock speeds.
