Just updated to 21.6.1 and it turned off the manual tuning settings I had set up for my video card. Do the drivers always do this? What other tweaks do you lose when you update? It's annoying having the video card suddenly running 20 degrees hotter because of this, I'd hate to think I need to go in and recheck all the per game settings as well.

Are you choosing the keep settings option when installing the software ?

I have to say I didn't see any option to keep settings when I did the install. I didn't choose the option to fully clean out the previous driver though. Where would I see the option to keep settings?

The option shows up when you select 'Factory Reset'.

Hmm I didn't choose the factory reset option. So in that case it should have kept the manual tunings?

Sorry, i honestly don't know as i have long time always used factory reset.

Thanks for your help. I'll snapshot my settings before I do another driver update and I'll keep an eye on whether it wipes the settings  again. Guess that's a month or so away

Just wanted to update this thread to say that the last update also cleared the manual performance tuning. I did as suggested and exported settings before doing the install and it definitely lost all performance tuning. Imported the settings and it changed 6 settings, which as far as I can tell are all related to the performance tuning because that's all back to how I had it.

So disappointing that the upgrades ignore those settings, but the workaround works perfectly. Thanks @goodplay
