Do I need to update my bios?

Do I need to update my BIOs,

My motherboard is a Gigabyte AORUS B450 Elite (rev1)

I currently have a Ryzen 7 2700x with BIOs update F2

I'm upgrading to the Ryzen 9 3900x.

On the website, it says it's supported from version F2 but im a little scared as this is my first time looking into this stuff and to me the chart is confusing.

Any help?

Motherboard:

B450 AORUS ELITE (rev. 1.0) | Motherboard - GIGABYTE Global

According to your Gigabyte Motherboard CPU SUPPORT LIST you need to have BIOS version F40 installed BEFORE installing the new Ryzen 3900X processor: B450 AORUS ELITE (rev. 1.0) | Motherboard - GIGABYTE U.S.A.

The latest BIOS version F51: B450 AORUS ELITE (rev. 1.0) | Motherboard - GIGABYTE U.S.A.

YOU MUST UPDATE THE MOTHEBOARD"S CHIPSET DRIVERS "FIRST" BEFORE UPDATING TO THE LATEST BIOS VERSION. READ THE NOTES ON THE RIGHT COLUMN!

Later on you can download AMD CHIPSETS from AMD Website which has newer CHIPSET Drivers than Gigabyte and update the drivers but after you install Gigabytes CHIPSET drivers first and you installed your new processor.: https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/b450
