Catalyst control update

My friend got back from holiday today and has installed the new catalyst control centre update. However this update has caused his screen to become zoomed in, cutting off the edges of his GUI. He has gone into the control centre to make sure his screen is aligned properly, and it is. Has anybody else experienced this, if so any help?

Re: Catalyst control update

I downloaded the new update this morning and have about a 1/2 inch cut off all the way around the outside of my monitor. Very annoying.

You have supplied absolutely no information about the computer that is having the issue.....ray_mamdmatt .

To get any kind of meaningful help, please at least furnish:

1. OS

2. Graphics card

3. Laptop or Desktop

Re: Catalyst control update

Never use 'auto select'...

If you run into issues after trying to update your AMD drivers, try a 'clean install'.

To perform a 'clean install' of AMD graphics drivers:

Note: To be on the safe side, create a system restore point before doing any  of this.

1. IMPORTANT: All Windows Updates should be current, including the 'optional/suggested' updates
2. IMPORTANT: Disable all anti-virus/ad blockers/anti-malware/ anti-anything before trying to install
3. IMPORTANT: Netframework is required and must be the latest version. (from Windows Update)

Download these drivers > Desktop
Delete existing drivers from your computer:

In computer control panel select 'uninstall a program'

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FOR COMPUTERS WITH INTEL PROCESSORS:

Select AMD install manager and choose 'express uninstall all AMD software'
Including the install manager.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FOR COMPUTERS WITH AMD PROCESSORS:

Select AMD install manager and 'custom uninstall' the graphics drivers and CCC only.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reboot into 'safe mode'

In safe mode run  DDU Uninstaller

Reboot

Install the new driver suite.

Reboot

Re: Catalyst control update

Hi kingfish,

Thanks for the help but the link to the new set of drivers doesn't work.

Thanks again,

Re: Catalyst control update

Have you tried going into the scaling options?

IN CCC it would be under the "My digital Flat-Panels" Tab and "Scaling Options (Digital Flat-Panel)" option. Play around with the slider and see what percentage of under scanning will fix the issue. I hope this helps.

Re: Catalyst control update

Go to the AMD Control Center and look for the Overscan settings. Adjust that.
