I cannot update my ati Radeon 4600 Via windows driver updater both manually and automatically as whenever I try to do so

it gives the error message "The parameter is incorrect" I have no idea how to fix this and I also don't know what drivers I should install, I am Using windows 7

Are you talking about Radeon 4600 as in the 46xx family from ~2008, eg HD 4650 and HD 4670 ?

If so then I don't think the current updater goes back that far. You should be able to find the latest driver by going to amd.com Drivers & Software, choosing Graphics then AMD Radeon HD, then choosing your GPU.

IIRC the last update for the HD 46xx series was in 2013, but that may be newer than what you are running.

Don't use the updater. Install the stand alone driver.

If you ever move to Windows 10. Windows 10 already has the only driver built in.
