Can't update graphics driver

Hello community!

I have an HP Pavillion Notebook with Microsoft Windows 10.0.17134 x64 and an AMD A10-9600 RADEON R5 processor.

My graphics card is listed as an AMD Radeon R8 M445DX which, as I understand, is a combination of the integrated Radeon R5 and a dedicated Radeon R7 M440. The problem is that after I install the latest R7 M440 driver I get the following message: Radeon Settings are currently not available. Please try again after connecting AMD graphics.

My original driver version was 16.101.1311.1001 and the version I tried to install was 18.5.1.

I've used the AMD clean uninstall utility and tried a clean installation but that won't fix the problem.

I'd really appreciate if I could get some advice.

So, after some research I found out I just had to install one APU driver, the A10-9600P APU driver, however, after the installation I still get the same error message.

Any ideas? I could really use some help.
