Can't install Chipset Drivers (Asus B550-E + 5900X) or Ryzen Master

I've just build my new rig and I read that it's really recommended to install the chipset driver for my mobo - ASUS B550-E Gaming which is running the latest bios:

Version 1216 Beta Version
2020/11/25 19.93 MBytes

ROG STRIX B550-E GAMING BIOS 1216
Support AMD AM4 AGESA V2 PI 1.1.0.0 Patch C

However, that fails with:

CPU: 5900X

OS: fresh install of Windows 10 Pro 64bit 20H2 build 19042.662 .

Additionally, I wanted to install Ryzen Master to check it out but that cannot be installed either. Actually the installation process completes but the application is nether found anywhere nor can be started. I am posting this issue together with the previous one assuming they might be related. In the installation log I can see this error:

MSI (s) (98:74) [18:00:36:019]: Product: AMD Ryzen Master -- Error 1720.There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A script required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Custom action Install_LC script error -2146828283, Microsoft VBScript runtime error: Invalid procedure call or argument Line 23, Column 2,

Other than that the system seems to function correctly but these issues are really annoying me at the moment.

Want to make sure you are getting this copy of the chipset driver: 2.10.13.408  https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/b550

And Ryzen Master here: https://download.amd.com/Desktop/AMD-Ryzen-Master.exe

Uninstall both then reinstall the above again and see if that helps.

If not I would talk to Asus support and they should be able to help get sorted what is going on.

If it is because of that Package and Script error then there is some conflict in the installer and your system.

You can contact AMD support and see if they know how to work around that. https://www.amd.com/en/support/contact-email-form

The versions from those links produce the same result. Neither of them could really be installed for there to be anything to uninstall either.

I sent support tickets to both ASUS (for the chipset) and AMD (for Ryzen Master). Let's see how good their customer support is.

Thanks for the help!
