Hello,

I'm new in this community, so I first greet you warmly!
ok, now my question. I have a laptop 5 years of age, with AMD Radeon 8450G and AMD Radeon HD 8600M Series graphics with AMD A6-5350M APU.
the full specs if you need.
here's the thing, last year I tried to update my drivers to Crimson drivers it worked with no problem at all. after a few days, I woke up to a no working drivers. I tried reinstalling it, it installed? but not like before. the night light was gone, couldn't reduce the brightness of my monitor, windows animations lagged don't let me get started with games and the sound my fans made. so I just reinstalled my old drivers AMD Catalyst 2015. it works pretty good until my apps started telling me to update it. I didn't tho, but when my windows update hit in, it was different. when it was fully updated, the whole windows animations were laggy, couldn't watch any videos, my system crashed on me all the time and all. I asked so many "experts" but non of them could help. so I thought maybe asking AMD dudes is the rightest choice.

1. disable Win10 auto-driver install
2. read:
your problem is that you need a special driver as your APU is Terascale and not GCN

latest by AMD is:
https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-non-gcn-16-2-1-beta (works well - tested it myself)
or google "latest non-gcn driver mod" (USE AT OWN RISK!)

ps i owned an Acer Aspire V5-552G (A10-5757M + HD8750M 2G) - which now my sister uses (with an SSD its actually still a speedy machine)
pps if you want to buy a new Laptop (as it gets time now) you should wait for Ryzen 5000 mobile APUs with RDNA2 (RX 6000M-Series) GPUs - and dont forget: 120hz or 144hz and response time of 1-3ms (maybe with FreeSync) if you are a Gamer

Thanks, it worked, but there's a few problems.
there's no control centers, like the Crimson edition used to have a control center as well, and the drivers on my GPU still says 2015. I used driver sweeper to delete all of the drivers, then installed it once again. still it was 2015. is it normal?? and what should I do with no control centers?

use DDU to clean the driver!
