This seems to be a problem that many, many people have had for a very long time, as evidenced by what you can find googling this (LMGTFY ... spoiler: lots of people with this problem and absolutely zero working solutions).
Why is this software failing to install? I never had any version of it installed. It makes no sense.
Please fix.
