Previously, the driver would crash when games were being played. Today however, the graphics card caused a black screen just when I was browsing a text site. The windows event log says it recovered but it did not. I had to force reboot "Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

Welcome to the club, it has been happening ever since this summer.

AMD has not fixed it yet,and fanboys here blame the users.

For now i can only say go back to WHQL-Win10-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Crimson-16.7.2-July19

with 16.9.2 i do get a crash everyday.

I cant even install the 16.9.2 update because of black screens

How exactly are you uninstalling and then installing the drivers? it sounds like you are having conflicts due to something being left behind during the update.

Do you or have you ever used Display Driver Uninstaller?
