Athlon 3000G graphics driver restarts continously

I just built a PC with Athlon 3000G and MSI A320M-A PRO board. As soon as Windows installs VGA driver from Windows Update the driver continously restarts, and therefore the PC is unusable. Tried different versions of driver and the best result was it restarts 4 times when Windows boots up or when the screen turned back from energy saving mode. Also tried to update BIOS to the latest version, but it didn't help at all.

There's a DVI-D to VGA converter attached to the MoBo, because the monitor doesn't have DVI connector, but I don't think that it causes the problem because on MS Standard VGA driver it works fine, but of course uses many CPU instead of VGA.

The screen not only going black while the driver resets, but every time shows some kind of no signal / TV noise for some seconds. It's very-very annoying.

Do you have any idea how to solve this?

I am presuming you have the latest Windows version installed with the latest Windows Updates installed also.

If you have a DVI-D>VGA adapter it should be an "Active' adapter.  An "Active" DVI-D>VGA adapter converts the DVI-D signal from the motherboard into the correct VGA signal before reaching the Monitor.

When you install the AMD Driver and are able to boot into Windows Desktop. Look at Device Manager and see if you have any errors or yellow exclamation marks.

Also run DXDIAG.exe and save the DXDIAG file to see what files are having issues.

Also check Windows Event Viewer under "errors" to see if you see anything related to the graphics driver.

Also run in a elevated Command Prompt or Powershell the command SFC /scannow to make sure your Windows is not corrupted or missing files.

Here is the latest APU AMD Driver for your Ryzen: https://www.amd.com/en/support/apu/amd-athlon-processors/amd-athlon-desktop-processors-radeon-graphi...

See if any previous AMD Driver works in case the latest has some bug in it: https://www.amd.com/en/support/previous-drivers/apu/amd-athlon-processors/amd-athlon-desktop-process...

The Athlon 3000g APU is only compatible with Windows 10 version. Not compatible with Windows 8.1 or earlier since there are no AMD Drivers for those Windows versions at AMD Download page.

Make sure you have the latest BIOS/UEFI & CHIPSET installed from your Motherboard Support download page:Support For A320M-A PRO | Motherboard - The world leader in motherboard design | MSI Global

First try using MSI Graphci driver which is included in MSI Motherboard CHIPSET Driver download.

Be sure to use DDU in Safe mode with the internet disconnected and AMD Installation folder deleted at C:\AMD.

Also check to see if your RAM MEMORY modules are listed under your Motherboard's QVL List for RAM MEMORY: Support For A320M-A PRO | Motherboard - The world leader in motherboard design | MSI Global
