As has been found by users in that question's thread after it was marked answered, it's happening again. The symptoms are the same.

It affects all the tar.xz archives linked to on: AMDGPU-PRO Driver for Linux® Release Notes

I've downloaded the files multiple times to make sure it was not caused by a network fluke.

The output of cksum, ran on any of the files I've downloaded, is consistent, and is the different from what was reported in the earlier incidence:

yes. this file is still corrupt.

does anyone have a mirror to the latest ubuntu version?

Unfortunately, yes. At least partially.

Looking at the file sizes of the downloads, at the moment, the Ubuntu 16.04 and RHEL/CentOS 7.3 versions look to be good (345MB and 411MB respectively), but the other links' filesizes are 114MB and 166MB, like the corrupt versions that have been reported.

I can't test right now, to see whether the Ubuntu and RHEL versions do actually decompress and install, but the filesizes at least look about right (though I wonder if such a large difference between the two is normal or if the Ubuntu version is still incomplete).

Is this a problem with the build system that's creating the files, being manually corrected when it's reported?

Like i said, the files are corrupt on the AMD server. I was asking for a mirror.

Nevermind i found one that works perfectly on a French website.

Tried with Ubuntu 18.04 with latest updates Firefox to download amdgpu-pro-18.20-606296.tar.xz 

Was only able to get it to download properly by right clicking on the file and doing a "save link as"

else it will get corrupted
