I have the same problem with 17.4.2 and 17.4.3 on Windows 10 Creators Update.
Tried clean installing both.
After a couple of tries found out that HDMI Audio is working just after a fresh Catalyst install, but as soon as I reboot, sound is lost and HDMI Audio shows as disconnected.
Windows 10 Creators Update, Asus Gryphon Z97 mobo, RX 460, 1080p60 HDMI connected to soundbase Sony HT-XT3 -> Sony KDL-55W829B
Please can you attach a DXDIAG report so that i can pass the details onto engineering for further investigation?
Yeah i'm on W10 Creators.. no HDMI audio drivers on newest drivers (last functioning with audio is 22.214.171.124) my card is a 390X Strix
I've attached two DxDiag reports, one generated with driver version 17.2.1 and one with driver version 17.4.2. Hope this helps to resolve the issue.
Apart from that, it's exactly the same with me as with mariomartinho, immediately after a clean install or a driver upgrade the audio devices will still work, but as soon as you reboot, they vanish.
Thanks for that information, that's a useful data point.
Use whatever workarounds you can for now folks. (older driver or using different HDMI driver versions)
Everything works fine after reboot. I used DDU in safe mode. After restarting in normal mode installation 17.4.3. I did not install ReLive.
