AMD Adrenalin 2019 v18.12.2 | VSR Not Supported?!

Windows 10

Ryzen 1600

Asus Strix B350-F Gaming

RX580 8Gb Sapphire Nitro+

AMD Adrenalin 2019 v18.12.2

Virtual Super Resolution: Not supported

I was really excited to get the opportunity to try out this new 2019 version, with all the bells & whistles.

But unfortunately I will be forced to go back to a previous version because Virtual Super Resolution is not supported (for some strange reason).

I cannot begin to express my sincere disappointment with not being able to switch to 1440P resolution on my standard 32" HDTV (max resolution supported: 1920x1080p).

I could run Windows in 4K or Games at 1440P...but not anymore. Extremely frustrating & a huge disappointment.

I have tried the 'Clean Install' route and it is still the same.

Hoping someone has a solution for me.

***

Sidenote: I will also report that, while AMD ReLive recordings worked fine, whenever I try to view my FPS using the in-game overlay, I get loads of flashy (usually green) colors as if my GPU is bugging out.

***

Such a disappointment as I was really-really looking forward to this new Software Kit.

If anyone can recommend anything for me to try - I'm all ears.

Thanks

Same here, it worked and was supported in previous versions but this one says NOT SUPPORTED.

Glad to hear I am not the only one.

But at the same time, sorry to hear it!

Hope they fix this soon.

In the meanwhile I am going back to 18.1.1

OMG I just reverted back to 18.1.1 and it's also now saying 'VSR Not Supported'!

This is a disaster!

EDIT: By disabling GPU Scaling, the VSR option was back on, on 18.1.1.

Reinstalling 18.12.2 to see if I can do the same.

Nope! VSR still not supported...

Please can you provide a DXDIAG report and attach it to your response and information about your display such as make and model please?

Hi Matt,

Please see my original post, DxDiag attached & Make/Model/Serial of Monitor currently using.

Should any additional information be required, please do not hesitate, thanks.

Report any issues to AMD...not the user forum.

Thanks but I've already done that.

Was the first thing I did.

I'm thinking its just a monitor compatibility thing so it should be fixed. (fingers crossed)

I too submitted an issue but didn't think to add all of my hardware...

Here's another way to report > Online Service Request | AMD

I got same issues brother. Always got problems with AMD and took months to wait for a new driver.

Hope that AMD bad culture will be fixed.

I hope that the bad culture inside there is gone cause we want stable software for the drivers only. Thats the only wish.
