18.6.1 and 18.5.1 washed snowy screen

Updated my drivers and have it.

Returning to 18.2.1 fixes the issue

Also using this drivers overheats my GPU in heavy games (from 70-75 to 80-85 C) that leads to throttling

Win 10 x64

Ryzen5 2600x

8 gb RAM 3000

RX 470 4gb

1) Its summer, clean your computer.

2) Use DDU and install 18.7.1

3) Go to Display Panel -> pixel format -> FULL RGB.

Done!

Hi @locodicegr @user1349 ,

I have a similar washed-out, snowy display issue with Asus ROG Flow X16 GV601RW, BIOS 313.

From ASUS drivers page, I installed latest AMD driver (31.0.12024.2005), and the Radeon software from Windows Store as mentioned. However, the display permanently looks washed out just as you described. Rarely, by flicking random options in AMD Radeon software, it resets, only to become washed out again in 10 minutes.

And current Adrenaline software does not have the PixelFormat option in Radeon software!! This definitely looks like the Limited vs Full Scale issue. Or a probable incorrect varying Gamma issue (like that with Varibright, which even if disabled looks the same).

Can you suggest any other things you would recommend trying out in current versions of AMD Software?

Full RGB is too dark, but limited RGB is what works fine.

Thanks !

Bad thing is it's impossible to change it  with minimal setup.
