Ryzen 9 5900 Processors

Why are the Ryzen 9 5900 processors limited to OEMs, considering the current Ryzen 9 5900x & 5950x chip shortage, so soon after the launch dates?

For decades now, nearly every line of Business has realized that  the majority of its profits, come from a very small percentage of its customers.   Auto Dealers, Truck sales, Retail, Real estate, you name it they will all cater to the big purchaser.

If you do enough business with a given merchant, they will supply you a personal shopper. The top 5% of your customers account for more than half of your profits.  The mid range ( 6 - 95%) are barely worth bothering with.  They get shunted to long telephone menu systems, the web, or even self checkout. The bottom 5%, you don't even want to deal with.  As they are often there to steal or run a scam on your business.  Merchants try to screen these undesirables by requiring a membership card.

As a Marketer, I would much rather send 5000 CPU's off to a distributer.  This would result in one shipment and one billing. Think of the saved labor costs.  Now imagine the headaches of 5000 individual shipments, along with 5000 billing invoices.  How do you track down those who don't pay?  Are they even worth going after?   Think of all the support calls you save yourself.
