HDMI 5.1 sound, is this a myth for AMD

Windows10 to SONY STR-DN860 via HDMI.

Configure Speakers on the Sound device only gives 2 speakers as an option.

The issue arose as in Windows you only see "Stereo" when you try and "configure speaker"

This is misleading to users.

After research I found out that the HDMI connections the audio stream intact irrelevent to how the music is encoded (Dloby, DTS etc).

Hope that explains it.
