I am planning to assemble a PC. My question is, If my motherboard support 2133 MHz or 3200 MHz (DDR 4) RAM will Fx6300 processor supports the same. According to the configuration mentioned in the site AMD Fx6300 processor supports only 1600MHz RAM. Plz help on this, very urgent.
FX 6300 only supports up to 1866mhz DDR 3 memory, there is no AMD motherboard that supports DDR 4 memory currently.
I know according to information this processor having capacity of only 1866MHz of RAM. My question is if motherboard supports 2133 MHZ or 3200MHz RAM, will processor able support the same.
From further research, it seems the fx 6300 can handle 2133mhz with no issues, but that may be the most it could handle, but obviously you cant use 3200mhz ddr 4 ram on the AM3+ platform which is only ddr 3 as of now.
Does it make sense to have RAM which can process states faster than BUS and CPU are going to order?
Higher frequency results most of the time in higher latency (CL) which is even slowing the communication between RAM and CPU down at some point.
Linus got a solid video about D-RAM on youtube:
