Fedora:Unable to compile AMD/ATI fglrx kernel-modules under kernel 2.6.42.9.1

After having already reported a bug, I have downloaded the last 12-3 catalyst including the Linux Propriétary Driver 8.951.

I'm always unable to use this driver under fedora with a kernel > at 2.6.43.2 nor with the news 3.x.x ones

The /usr/share/ati/fglrx-install.log contains only:

Uninstalling any previously installed drivers.

Creating symlink /var/lib/dkms/fglrx/8.951/source ->

                 /usr/src/fglrx-8.951

DKMS: add completed.

Kernel preparation unnecessary for this kernel.  Skipping...

Building module:

cleaning build area....

cd /var/lib/dkms/fglrx/8.951/build; sh make.sh --nohints --uname_r=3.3.1-5.fc16.i686 --norootcheck.....(bad exit status: 1)

[Error] Kernel Module : Failed to build fglrx-8.951 with DKMS

[Error] Kernel Module : Removing fglrx-8.951 from DKMS

------------------------------

Deleting module version: 8.951

completely from the DKMS tree.

Done.

How to solve this issue ?

Thx

Very strange since there is no /var/lib/dkms in Fedora, it exists in Ubuntu. Your log looks similar to what I have in my ubuntu installations but on fedora there is no mention of dkms in the installer log file. I am not sure what is the significance of this in your case, perhaps installer thinks you have ubuntu?
