Mainly asking if there is any way to undervolt my EPYC miner

Hi, I went through a lot to get where I am right now with a...

- H11DSi (supermicro mobo)

- 2x AMD EPYC 7k62

- 16x 8GB of 2933MHz RAM

- SUPER FLOWER LEADEX III Gold Edition 1000W PSU (iirc)

- Clear linux live server OS (43470)

...but I want to keep it short as much as possible. I was able to get a good performance out of it but there is still 3 more problems that I haven't solved yet and will probably require hitting the forums for a definitive answer - two of which are directly relevant to my AMD CPUs:

1. Is there any way at all I can undervolt them ? It is a good performance v.s. consumption compromise to turn off core performance boost but I have found that any other toggle would improve the performance-per-watt but maybe I am using them wrong. Is there any more that I can do ? Hence, I thought of undervolting but since we're talking about server CPU... well, it doesn't look like the search engines have much to say about that so I am hoping you have something to suggest to me.

This first point is really about getting the best performance²-per-watt overall. Not just if it is possible to undervolt.

2. This point is minor but very niche. So far, I have run XMRig on my new machine on three different OS installs; a windows one, a linux mint one and the aforementioned Clear linux server release. However, the latter appears to have trouble correctly identifying the NUMA nodes of my system. While the first two recognize that I have 4 (2 per sockets), the Clear linux one seems to think there is only 2 (1 per socket?) and I suspect it is undermining its performance. Any idea what could cause this ? (BTW is 2 NUMA nodes per socket the correct number for 48-cores processors ?)

If this isn't the right place to ask for this, please tell me. There is an absolutely overwhelming plethora of forums about DIY computers and technical know-how on the matter, I don't know where to start. 😕

I think you should repost this question in the new AMD forum.  You will have to create a new user account however.  From my understanding, you might have some options in your motherboard's BIOS.  I don't know if Ryzen Master will run on your EPYC build, but that's another possibility.

As Albert Einstein said, "I could have done so much more with a Big Al's Computer!".
