Code XL sample project does not recognize my Radeon card

Hi,

i have an issue : my Radeon 7XXX card does not seem to be recognized : I get this message , when trying to run the sample project

any idea why

Hi,

Do you have the AMD Catalyst package installed?

Please open a command console, type "clinfo" and upload the results to this post.

funnily enough, when trying to run clinfo, i get a crash ... on win8 64...

looks suspicious ....

what's best ? reinstall the driver ?

Yes - a crash during clinfo definitely says driver problems. I suggest you uninstall the current driver before attempting to reinstall.

Hi Doron,

I reinstalled the latest driver ( 9.12.2.3000 ) , no luck . I read on another post here that it was a known issue that clinfo was crashing ... cant remember though the exact post .... Any other suggestion  ? I tried to reinstall also codeXL ( 1.1.2885 ) , no luck....
