If you accidentally connect an emission shader to a Base Colour input on Principled with RPR the preview render will freeze up crash.
This happens on both Windows and macOS versions of RPR.
Expected output would not be a crash but perhaps a glowing pink material to show that the shader network is setup incorrectly?

Thank you. Confirmed as fixed in the v2.0.52 release. Please close this ticket.
It just so happens to be that connecting the emission shader to any input of any shader that isn't meant for a shader input will freeze up and crash. However doing this same mismatch with any other shader as the first does not crash.
We can fix this, and will. However I would claim that blender should be more robust about allowing input connections on shader nodes.
I.e. this type of input should not be allowed to be made in the node editor.
Fixed for next release.
