WIndows supports only 4 GPU's in OpenCL?

I am new to OpenCL & when i tried to program, i was told that AMD APP supports OpenCL for Windows 32 or 64 bit up to 4 GPU's only.

So, if i have to write program for AMD GPU's then i have to use Linux only.

In Linux version of AMD APP -OpenCL only more than 4 GPU's supported.

Is it true? Why AMD blocking its APP not to use more than 4 GPU's in Windows to write in OpenCL?

Yep, this is one feature I would love to see as well.

Either 8 GPUs for Windows as well or simply no limit at all to neither OS.
