My card is HD7990. And my latest amdgpu-pro driver 17.50 on Linux doesn't support my card, and it exports a lot of errors for all tensorflow tests. Also, the famous hello world opencl program doesn't work.
To let hello world opencl code run, I just need to run it Windows on the same computer.
So when will the AMDGPU-PRO support HD7900 series?
And, sadly, I have to face a difficult choice:
* On Windows, no tensorflow.
* On Linux, no drivers.
Currently, ampdgpu-pro does not support OpenCL on SI cards including HD7900 series. AFAIK, there is no immediate plan for including SI support at this moment.
P.S. You've been whitelisted now.
Same problem for me: latest driver (17.50) support xorg but I can't use opencl.
HD7900 series are old, but strong in double precision and they are already gcn generation.
Thanks.
As an workaround, you can use Ubuntu 14.04 without AMDGPU-Pro driver but fglrx.

dipak now that amdgpu-pro 18.10 has been released, are SI cards still unsupported on the pro driver? I've been able to get basic kernels running (e.g. vector addition), but only after modifying the programs with strange workarounds (specifically having to call clEnqueueNDRangeKernel twice for the same kernel).
Yes, SI cards are not supported on amdgpu-pro 18.10 for OpenCL.
