vram consumed during opencl execution

Hello,

this is probably easy to do, but I was unable to find an answer on the forums:

I would simply like to be able to query my card/driver from the command line

while a code is running, regarding main graphics ram consumed.

There must be a reasonably easy way to do this, right?

(I am using linux, if that is relevant to a potential answer)

Thanks,

Olivier

Re: vram consumed during opencl execution

currently there is no way to get free memory with OpenCL. closest you can get is this http://www.opengl.org/registry/specs/ATI/meminfo.txt

Re: vram consumed during opencl execution

Thanks for the link Nou, I'll read up on that.

If anyone from AMD reads this, might I suggest that an easy way to query memory usage

would be useful?

Thanks,

Olivier
