Using GPUPerfStudio client under wine

Realizing that GPUPerfStudio is meant for windows, I decided to try it out under wine. It works great! Use winetricks to get the .NET runtime 4.0.

Well, I wouldn't be posting if I didn't have a question. I can connect the server to GPUTest (tess_x16) and run the client on the same machine under wine, and everything appears to work fine except the Frame Profiler window, which causes the program being monitored to segfault (GPUTest).

I don't expect the devs to prioritize this bug report, but here's what I'm seeing...

Hi,

In the client, go to the Windows menu at the top and select Settings | Profiler and make sure "Perform Analysis when opened" is unchecked. Try and see if you can get a GPUTime profile by checking the All Counters | Timing | GPUTime check box and see if you still get a crash.

Which drivers do you have installed on the machine?

Thanks,

Tony.
