I've heard somewhere that AMD cards supports rotate instruction (cyclic bit rotate). I am implementing crypto algorithms, so that is quite important for me. Unfortunately now I cannot find it, I see that people use shl, shr + or instead if that.
Could you confirm that rotate instruction is not implemented in hardware?
