Repartitioning OpenCL APU Physical Memory

I'm using an AMD A10-5800K, and clinfo shows the shared physical memory statically split so that the CPU has ~7GB but the GPU has 256MB. Seeing as this is all physically actually the same memory, is there a way to reconfigure how the memory is split between devices so that I can give the GPU more?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Sometimes there is configuring option in BIOS. Try look there.

nou, thanks for the response but I can't find anything in the BIOS that looks like it would adjust the GPU memory space.

Hi jmaxg3,

Try searching for a property "UMA frame buffer size". I tried setting it 512MB and 1GB and "global memory size" in my APU reflected the same.

I would also recommend to check http://devgurus.amd.com/message/1281265#1281265 for the steps on enabling the IGPU.

Hope it helps.
