No GPU platform with 464L APU (R-Series) and SDK 3.0

Hi,

I am no OCL developer, but a user.

Trying to get x264 to work with OCL on Linux.

The system in question is a 464L APU (R-series). I installed the 64Bit SDK 3.0 beta.

When I try "clinfo" it only shows the CPU as platform, not the GPU.

How can I install OCL for the GPU?

Well, I was mistaken. Catalyst 14.12 was not working. The generic drivers were used.

The distro is Linux Mint 17

I was using kernel 3.16.0.33-lowlatency at first, I tried some low latency kernels and none worked.

Now I installed the generic kernel 3.13.0.24.

Now the fglrx modules are loaded and I see CPU and GPU.

Thanks!

Did you install the catalyst driver? If not, please install the driver from here Download Drivers and then try.

I forgot to mention,

Catalyst 14.12 is installed and works.

Catalyst 14.12 is installed and works.

So, are facing this problem after installation of SDK only? That means, were you getting the GPU device after installation of the catalyst but before SDK installation?

If clinfo does not list all the devices after the catalyst installation, then there may be some problem in driver installation. Otherwise it is an issue of SDK installation. Please confirm.

[Either way, please specify more setup details such as OS etc.]
