Hello,

I am using Macbook pro with OS 10.6 with Intel core 2 duo CPU. I want to install ATI OpenCL sdk on it but when I try to make it, it gives following error:

make/openclsdkdefs.mk:45: *** Unknown CPU.  Stop.

I have tried uname -a on my system and it says that:

Darwin lap-114.ida.liu.se 10.5.0 Darwin Kernel Version 10.5.0: Fri Nov  5 23:20:39 PDT 2010; root:xnu-1504.9.17~1/RELEASE_I386 i386

Could I install ATI OpenCL on this system? please explain!

you must ask Apple for support. AMD do not provide support for Apple implementation of OpenCL.

and you must modify examples from SDK to be able compile it under Mac.

Nou is correct. The AMD OpenCL SDK only supports Windows and Linux systems with at least a single AMD product in the system.
