Can you please post the output of the clinfo command?

Especially the following fields:

  Platform Profile:, Platform Version:, Platform Name:, Platform Vendor:, Platform Extensions:



 

Another way to try and solve this is to install catalyst 11.7 and then reinstalling 11.8

According to my downloads folder I went directly from 11.6 to 11.8.

Oh, and I tried installing the standalone gDEBugger 5.8, and it works just fine including all the AMD specific kernel counters.

Since the clinfo is correct and shows that the catalyst 11.8 was installed correctly, can you please post the "system information" in gDEBugger and look at the "OpenCL platforms"

You should see the version there the same as the platform version in the clinfo.

So it seems that the amdocl.dll 32bit version was not installed correctly.

The easyies way to solve it as I know is to uninstall catalyst 11.8, install catalyst 11.7 and then reinstall 11.8.

That seems to have fixed it!  Although, looking around the new version, it seems to be missing the profiler graph features that is the main thing I use in gDEBugger.
