ERROR: 0:1: '' : Version number not supported by GL2

ESEmulator.2009-04-28-v1.4.APRIL_2009_RELEASE.msi

Hi,

 I installed ESEmulator.2009-04-28-v1.4.APRIL_2009_RELEASE.msi.

When i try to run the given sample  i get the message "

ERROR: 0:1: '' : Version number not supported by GL2" and  debug data lists as ES Emulator error: GL error: GL_INVALID_OPERATION - found at the end of glUseProgram.

Can any one tell me what does version number not supported means? How do i fix it?

I am using ATI radeon x1400.

Thanks

Hi

I'm new to AMD DEV FORUMS and joined to start learning about Open GL ES programmation through the emulator provided by AMD.

I also tested ESEmulator.2009-04-28-v1.4.APRIL_2009_RELEASE.msi

Test done on my Asus A6Ja laptop with latest available graphic driver ATI radeon mobility X1600.

esTriangle compiled through my VS2005 but at execution time I obtain the same error as vathsala :

ERROR: 0:1: '' : Version number not supported by GL2

ERROR: 1 compilation errors. No code generated

I didn't find the additionnal debug output reported by vathsala

debug data lists as ES Emulator error: GL error: GL_INVALID_OPERATION - found at the end of glUseProgram.

May be the problem is the declaration of the shader language version is missing inside the shader source file or somewhere else ?

I also had a look to

http://www.imgtec.com/powervr/insider/powervr-insider.asp

The shader & sky box demo provided with powerVR OpenGL ES 2.0 / Windows XP SDK run fine.

Thanks for any help about our esTriangle sample problem

Hi,

I am getting exactly the same problem as initially described by vathsala.

Has solution to the problem been found already?

Thank you,

kk

I'm sorry to say that there is no support on this as this is no longer AMD property but rather Qualcomm's.

The site will be pulled down shortly.
