Hi folks,
I have a crossfire system and I have a question regarding the strategy in the crimson driver when to wake up the second card. Is this based upon the directx initializing flags used in a program? Normally in windows desktop mode the 2nd card is totally turned off (Zero Core Mode) - but there are some desktop apps (which don't use fullscreen mode - they just use directx for some fancy displaying) which force the crimson driver to power up the 2nd card - I want to understand the trigger for this and seek a solution how to patch those programs.
What is this decision based upon? Is it any flags when initializing directx by some apps?
Please help me understand the crimson / catalyst driver in this topic.
