both are good offer some diff balances,both have 256-bit interface,but nvidia is 512mb,but then again ati has 320stream processors to nvidia's 112,and has a more updated shader model and dx10,not only that but just look at the price, im really considerin the ati ,ecspecially now what i hear about the Total War* genre and nvidia's 8xx series probs,not only that but ati offers the ever popular catalst suite wich i personally like better than nvidia's video' sliders.

This is a very interesting topic as both companies have long been associated with high quality video cards.

I have used both. I prefer the ATI Control Panel interfece myself.
