Tried and did not work Re: Running AMD Stream Applications Remotely

hi, thanks for posting the methods.

I tried the way of changing /etc/gdm/custom.conf and did not succeed.

If I understand correctly, by running remotely, you mean you can execute brook+/cal through remote ssh to the machine.

 

Right now, it seems that I should always use X windows to get my GPGPU applications to run even I do not need display at all.  I know CUDA supports remote ssh without X windows.

Any other ways?  Thanks

 

BTW: I use 4870 and CentOS 5 x86-64

Yes, as far as I know, X server is necessary to run AMD GPGPU programs.

No, currently the SDK needs the X-server to be running and the DISPLAY variable to be set correctly.
